“This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.” |
Some say the Bible concerns the love of God.
Others have suggested that the Word of God concerns how to live right in this world.
Many believe the Scriptures contain and concern the formula for success and prosperity.
Some say that they love the Bible because it concerns how we should treat one another.
But what does the Holy Spirit tell us in the Bible?
What did the Lord Jesus say that His Word concerns?
“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” (Luke 24: 27)
God’s love, how we live, all spiritual success and prosperity, along with how we treat others, is all relative to what we believe concerning Jesus Christ.
“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.” (Luke 24: 44)
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible, God’s Holy Word, concerns Jesus Christ who loved His people and gave Himself for them.
“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” (Ephesians 5:2)
So, what do you think of Christ?
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
He is the only way that God loves us.
He is the only way that we live righteously before God.
We prosper and succeed only with Him as our Savior and Substitute.
If a sinner loves Christ, they will love and treat others as they do themselves.
The Bible concerns one thing, and that is Jesus Christ.
