Submit Yourselves to God

“God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. Submit yourself therefore to God. | James 4: 6-7)

The way to overcome pride and defeat the spirit of envy, strife, and contention is to SUBMIT YOURSELVES TO GOD.

1). To His will regarding gifts, natural or spiritual.

2). To leave it to God to make us what He would have us to be.

3). To leave it to God to prosper or empty us.

4). To leave it to God to honor or humiliate us.

Resist thoughts of envy, jealousy, covetousness, and fretting, and submit yourselves to God.

Our Lord is mindful of our needs and will supply. (Philippians 4: 19)

All Things Are Become New

“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” | 2 Corinthians 5: 14-17

The Lord Jesus Christ does not show blind men how to see. He gives them new eyes and they see Him!

The Lord Jesus Christ does not tell deaf men how to hear. He gives them new ears and they hear Him!

The Lord Jesus Christ does not beg lame men to walk. He gives them new legs and they leap as an hart, and follow Him!

All who are in Christ receive a new mind of repentance toward Him, a new will that bows to Him, a new heart that believes and loves Him.

Yes, If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature!

The Believer’s Appetite

The Believer is alive unto God and proves it by his appetite. He hungers after righteousness, he thirsts after the water of Life. He cries for mercy. He seeks the Lord. These are evidences of the Life of God in the soul.

Dead men have none of these appetites.

Thank God for this spiritual appetite, for He will fill it.
